Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Tomas Mirov, the President of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development have discussed the Issues on Stabilization of Banking Sphere and the Ways of Prevention of the World Crisis Consequents on the Economics of Ukraine

Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has held the meeting on Monday with Tomas Mirov, the President of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development during which Issues on Stabilization of Banking Sphere and the Ways of Prevention of the World Crisis Consequents on the Economics of Ukraine were discussed.

"Ukraine attaches great importance to the cooperation with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and highly appreciates the work that is done for today, especially now, when the world suffers difficult times", - V. Lytvyn declared at the beginning of the meeting.

As was announced at the meeting "constant relations between Ukraine and EBRD satisfies that Ukraine may rely on its support". T. Mirov reminded that in last year EBRD invested already 900 mln. euro. During the current year Bnak had already to invested nearly 1 mlrd. euro. The assistance will concern the stabilizing of the Banking sphere, investments into power engineeringc etc

Evaluating economic situation in Ukraine, V. Lytvyn announced it as "stable in its complexity". The stabilizing of the banking system is sure to improve the situation. In order to return the trust into banking system, the work of the President of Ukraine and the Government should be concerted.

V. Lytvyn stressed that today, Ukrainian Parliament implement very complicated task: providing dialogue and stability in the country.
